The Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC) contains 15 laboratories, support facilities, and data sets. Group tours of the TFHRC laboratories are available to transportation officials, state and federal stakeholders, international guests, high schools, colleges and universities. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) provides stewardship over the construction, maintenance and preservation of the Nation's highways, bridges and tunnels.
FHWA also conducts research and provides technical assistance to state and local agencies to improve safety, mobility, and to encourage innovation.
